Indian NGO's

Several hours of trawling through the WWW has led to a blogroll of Indian NGO's and links (see sidebar on the right).

I want to keep this list updated with details of charities and NGO's working in India. If you know of any that's not on the list, please leave details in the 'comments' box and I'll add it to the list.

Someday, I hope to break down the list into categories to make it easier for people to find charities that they are interested in.

In the meantime, browse through the existing links and see if you can help out somewhere. Anything is a blessing!

If you don't have the time or energy to travel beyond work to volunteer, why not volunteer online? Register on http://www.onlinevolunteering.org/ and make a significant difference to the world - without leaving your desk.

Update

Charity Matters is back after a brief absence.

I've updated the blog to now include lists of NGO's in India and other charity blogs around the world. I hope you will find these useful when you want to make a difference and need more information.

Welcome to Charity Matters

Charity Matters is a blog about all things related to the Third Sector.

Coming from India to the UK, I have found the Not-for-Profit industry extremely well organised and planned. I hope to share my experiences and learnings to my many counterparts in India where things may not be so well organised (yet).

Here I hope to post funding availabilty and deadlines for projects in India, besides news and other information. Oh yes, there will be plenty of ideas and why-not-make-this-happen-in-India type of posts.

If you're interested, come back for more and lets make a difference where we can.

If you are an NGO based in India and would like help/more information on funding from the UK or would like help with application forms, leave a comment and I'll get back to you.

All you need to do is ask.
